I’ve struggled with chronic anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember. As a kid I used to worry about whether or not my parents were driving the right way. As I grew up, I worried about if people would accept me. I still continue to catastrophize and dwell on the worst case scenarios in my head. I’ve been going to therapy regularly since 2015. In 2022, I decided to start medication which has significantly improved my mental health. We need to take care of our minds just as much as our bodies. It’s time we as a society took mental health seriously.
